The number of people you communicate with daily has exploded. With so much of our work hinging on human collaboration and engagement, your ability to effectively communicate your thoughts and ideas is pivotal to influencing and getting things done through others.

This workshop will provide you with the skills and tools to express your thoughts and opinions with confidence and conviction. You will explore a range of proven communication techniques and strategies that can be used to develop and maintain successful relationships both inside and outside the workplace.

Topics addressed in this workshop to improve your communication by:

  • Gaining insight into their individual personality type and communication preferences
  • Learning to recognise other people’s personality types and communication preferences
  • Learning to adjust your own communication approach based on need and situation
  • Understanding barriers to effective communication and how to overcome them
  • Learning how to effectively utilise pitch, tone and speed
  • Mastering the S.T.A.R. / C.A.R. / S.O.A.R. methods for speaking on the spot
  • Learning to use and read body language appropriately
  • Learning how to listen more actively and effectively
  • Gaining valuable insights by asking open-ended questions
  • Becoming a more effective communicator through the use and application of practical tools
