Anyone who has collaborated with colleagues knows just how hard it can be to share and receive ideas. It is essential for everyone to communicate. The same holds true even when you’re sending an e-mail to a co-worker or stakeholder – say the wrong thing or say it the wrong way, and you may damage or even jeopardize a key professional relationship.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Define effective communication
  • Understand communication breakdown
  • Develop techniques for developing communication
  • Understand the importance of active listening
  • Explore non-verbal communication
  • Develop techniques for softening phrases
  • Develop techniques for building rapport
  • Understand the importance of humour
  • Apply small talk techniques
  • What to expect from the VET learner

Who Should Attend:

  • Trainer/Assessor
  • RTO/Compliance Manager
  • Head of Faculty/Department
