This workshop aims to provide vocational teachers with an awareness on how to identify the foundation skills of a learners through an initial skills assessment and then aligning this to the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). The ACSF is designed to provide a consistent national approach to identifying language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills required in work, training, personal and community contexts.
Workshop Outcomes:
- Identifying LLN skills of a student and using the ACSF to align LLN skills identified in the initial skills assessment
- Identifying LLN skills required in the training package and using the ACSF to align LLN skills identified in the training package
- Resources available to use.
